We are a competitive AAU basketball program that runs during the spring, summer, and fall seasons, Depending on players participation. Our teams compete in local tournaments that match the skill level and development stage of each group, ensuring every athlete Is challenged appropriately.. The focus of the program is on skill development, team building, and a deeper understanding of the game.

The Teach Me Da Game travel team is a development- focused AAU program designed for beginner to intermediate players who want to improve their skills and understanding of the game. This team emphasizes fundamentals, basketball IQ, and team play, helping athletes build confidence and a strong foundation on both defense and offense. Through structured practices and competitive game experiences, players learn the intensity, discipline, and knowledge needed to grow and succeed at the next level.

The CBG Elite team is a selection- based AAU program designed for advanced players with a strong foundation and understanding of the game.  This Team is build for athletes who are ready to be challenged in more competitive environment and compete against high-level opponents. while skill development remains a key focus, players on this team are expected to bring a higher level of discipline, basketball IQ, and game readiness.

Season Structure

Tournaments

  • Teams will participate in approximately 5-6 local Tournaments during the season

  • Most Tournaments are 35-45 minutes away 

  • The furthest locations are typically about 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 mins away 

Tournaments Format

  • Most Tournaments are two - day events (Saturday & Sunday)

  • Some teams may start the season with a one-day tournament depending on skill level they transition into full two-day weekend tournaments 

Practice Schedule 

  • Teams will have 2 practices per week. 

  • Practice will be focus on:

    • Skill development ​

    • Team concepts 

    • Offensive and defensive systems

    • Game preparation​​

Team Communication

 All Teams will use the Spond App for communication. ​

Through the app, parents and players will receive:

  • Practice schedules 

  • Tournament times 

  • Team updates 

  • Announcements and reminders 

All families are required to join the team's Spond group to stay informed throughout the season
